…because we have plenty of mud…thanks to a lot of rain and the lack of grass on the side of our yard…

Time to hide all the structural support beams that run through the kitchen and common area. We found some nice Arkansas Pine (from Texas, no less) that will transition nicely with the Southern Yellow we are using on the wall in the kitchen area and in the ceiling in the entry way.

The base cabinets for the main part of the kitchen are set and we’ll hopefully hammer out the top cabinets in the next day or so…

…managed to get a couple of the cabinets in so we can check all our lines and figure out the best way to make the base cabinets run true…it isn’t much yet, but it looks great while the rest patiently wait…

Another day, some more progress…the cedar beams are in to create the mantle and the last bookcase has been built!
